Godfrey Hirst Australia wins the Victorian Premier's top accolade for sustainability!
Godfrey Hirst has been awarded the 2011 Victorian Premier's Sustainability Recognition Award and Large Business Award. The company has been recognised for reducing its impact on the enviroment, while also reducing costs and increasing its competitive edge across Australia and the world.

Finalists for Premiers Sustainability Awards
Godfrey Hirst has been announced as a finalist for the Premier’s Sustainability Awards in the large business category. Attached is a copy of the media release announcing the finalists and some information about our achievements. The submission was based on GHA achievements in the area of Sustainability in particular the:
- Sorona fibre
- Effluent treatment plant
- Storm water harvesting
- Tile improvements and automation
- Nylon 6.6 conversion to nylon 6
- Waste recovery
- Emissions reduction etc
The winner is to be announced at the Awards night on 9th of June.

New Warehouse for Godfrey Hirst USAGodfrey Hirst USA is proud to announce the purchase of a 100,000 square foot warehouse and office in Adairsville, Georgia. We have already moved our office staff into the building and plan to have all of our carpet and sample inventory in before the end of June. A new cut length machine has been ordered and new custom designed racking is being installed shortly. This impressive facility will use state of the art RF technology to manage the receiving, storage and dispatch of carpet, pad and samples. This new facility will improve our service levels even further and allow us to continue on our path of growth and expansion. Our new address is: 7629 Adairsville Hwy Adairsville, GA 30103. Telephone & fax numbers remain the same as before.

Godfrey Hirst Group Purchases Tascot Carpets
Following the purchase of the Tascot brand and designs by the Godfrey Hirst Group, the Feltex Woven division is proud to announce its appointment as sole distributor of Tascot Carpets. Tascot Carpets will provide full in house design services through the Feltex Woven design studio located in Melbourne, Australia.
Tascot Carpets were a Tasmanian based axminster manufacturer who produced axminster products for the commercial and residential markets both in Australia and internationally. Godfrey Hirst, through our Feltex Woven division, will continue to stock and supply four of the existing Tascot ranges - Arkabah, Diamantina, Kent Street and Royal Quarter.
